Adult Ministries
Welcome, we're glad that you are checking out the Adult Connections area at First.
Sunday mornings at 10:00 is the time for all adults to meet with their respective Life Groups around the building to discover and discuss the relevance of the Bible in our every day lives. You are free to check out any of the groups and will probably discover a great deal of laughter, fellowship and food as relationships are being built.
On Sunday evenings, an invitation goes out to all adults to participate in the Pastor's Bible study beginning at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. It's an informal time to get together and dig deeper into God's word.
During the week, the pastor hosts a refresher course on the topic of the previous Sunday’s bible study. Again, an open Bible is the center of discussions. This study follows our Wednesday evening Fellowship Meal and begins promptly at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall.
The Young At Heart Bunch is a ministry with older adults ages 50+. It is an important and significant part of the ministries available at FBC. This ministry focuses on people, not on programs or activities. Every effort is made to provide avenues for older adults to participate fully in the congregational life of our church. This is also a time for older adults to truly enjoy and savor life by being active and meaningfully involved with other followers of Jesus Christ.
Other specific opportunities to connect and contribute include financial seminars, marriage enrichment programs, and we always have plenty of fun fellowship opportunities including ice cream socials, movie nights, WMU circles, picnics, and so much more. Be sure to keep tuned in to the announcements and the calendar for up to the minute details. You won't want to miss out on the activities at First!
