Children’s Programs:
First Baptist Church of Batesburg provides many opportunites for our children to experience Jesus. Our professional and lay staff spend their time leading children in active worship and service opportunities that are designed to strengthen and deepen their faith in God. All volunteers who associate themselves with our children’s ministry have completed our child protection screening program and have been submitted to a background check.

Our Programs:
SUNDAYS
Nursery
The nursery for newborn babies through two-year-old toddlers is located in the southwest wing of the church (Room 109) and is offered during all worship services and Sunday School hour. Our goal is to provide a loving and safe environment for your child. Care is provided by loving volunteer workers who have completed our child protection screening.
Sunday School
Classes are offered each Sunday at 10:00 AM for children three years old through fifth grade. These classes are located on the first floor in the southwest wing of the church (Rms 110 & 111)and on the second floor in the old educational wing.
Children’s Church
Join us as we encourage and prepare our kids to celebrate God’s love through a time of play, instruction and worship. We will meet in Rm.111 at and then walk the kids down to “grown-up church” where they will participate in worship up until the Children’s Sermon. Then they will go back to their room for a snack, lesson, and free play. This class is open to all children ages 3-5K. Care is provided by loving volunteer workers who have completed our child protection screening.
AWANA
We have a vibrant AWANA ministry serving children ages three (two years before kindergarten) through fifth grade. AWANA meets every Sunday evening from early September until mid-May. The program starts at 6:15 PM in the educational wing on the second floor and ends at 7:30 PM. Children learn verses, hear stories from the Bible, and build friendships through crafts and games.
