What to Expect
Answers to Some of Your Questions
What should I wear?
Feel free to wear whatever clothes make you feel most comfortable. You will find some people dressed in dressy clothes and others in jeans. We care more that you’re here, than what you wear.
How long are your services?
About one hour.
What are your services like?
FBC Batesburg services focus mostly on worship and preaching. We’ll share some announcements during the morning, express our love for God through music, and hear a sermon about God’s word. The 8:50 am service is contemporary for those who desire a . The 11:00 service is traditional for those who are most comfortable connecting to God through hymns. The sermon in both services is identical.
Will I have to say anything, sign anything, or be singled out?
Rest assured that you won't be put on the spot, singled-out, or embarrassed. Though we do receive an offering, we don't want anyone to feel obligated to give. We do like to collect some basic information from first time visitors, but if you'd prefer not to, that's alright with us.
What about my preschoolers?
A nursery is available during both services. Parents are always welcome to attend and observe any of our children’s ministries.
What about Bible Teaching for my children?
Bible study classes are offered for all ages (Pre-K through adult) at 10:00 AM on Sundays. During the traditional service a brief children’s message is delivered to children ages 2-3rd grade after which the children depart to another room for worship relevant to their age. Awana is offered Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM for K-5th graders during the school year. The program is an international, Bible-centered children’s and youth ministry for children. More information is available on the Children's Ministry page.
