28 Days of Prayer for Spiritual Renewal
Week 3: The Church

Spiritual renewal is the church waking up to the presence of Christ in her midst. Spiritual renewal is experienced when God makes Himself known in the midst of His church.
God moves in the church through the Holy Spirit, working through individuals within the congregation to bring about spiritual transformation, healing, and renewal, and is often manifested through acts of service,
preaching, worship, and the sharing of the Gospel message.

This week mediate and pray over the following verses. Pray specifically that God would move powerfully in our midst to draw us closer to Himself and to fill us with an urgency to reach the lost for salvation.
“The church is Christ’s body, the completion of Him who Himself completes all things everywhere.”
(Ephesians 1:23)
“And He (Christ) is before all things, and in Him all things hold together. And He is the head of the body, the church. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in everything He might be preeminent. For in Him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through Him to reconcile to Himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, making peace by the blood of the cross.” (Colossians 1:17-20)

“And let us consider how to stir up one another by love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day (the Day of the Lord which refers to the Second Coming of Christ) drawing near.” Hebrews 10:24-25
