28 Days of Prayer for Spiritual Renewal

Week 3:  The Church

R.jfif

Spiritual renewal is the church waking up to the presence of Christ in her midst. But it is the church waking up to the presence of Christ that becomes a catalyst for the greatest expression of spiritual renewal; the church transformed. Spiritual renewal is manifest when God’s church becomes an instrument of transformation for impacting lives for Jesus Christ.

This week mediate and pray over the following verses. Pray specifically that God would move powerfully in our midst to not only draw us closer to Himself but also to see His church reach its great potential in bringing the lost to Christ. This is the great purpose of Christ’s church.

“For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost.”

(Luke 19:10

“Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to obey all that I have commanded

you. And lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

(Matthew 28: 19-20)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere---in Jerusalem, throughout Judea,

in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

(Acts 1:8)

“But how can they call on Him to be saved unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in Him if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about

Him unless someone tells them?”

(Romans 10:14)

“So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask Him to send more workers into His fields.”

(Matthew 9:38)
